If you've read our interview with filmmaker Ari Gold about his terrific, quirky little masterpiece The Adventures of Power, you know that despite all logic, there may indeed be a future for you in air drumming. Well, how would you like to put those skills to the test for reals -- and help charity while you're at it?

This from Ari:

Hi there Jim,

I just wanted to give you a heads-up about my online Air Drum Battle which Styx, Ween, Breaking Benjamin (and Rush, and Metallica as air-drummers) are involved in. We're giving away $3,000 drums, and drum-lessons, and movie costumes, and it's going to be hilarious - just getting going, and anyone can enter. Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers was the first entry. It runs thru May 18.

I'd love to call-in and tell the world about it with ya - let me know if you're interested in hearing more - or send fans and freaks to join!

All the best,

PS: the Power Saves The Music charity auction raised enough money to rebuild a whole music school. We're doing another round of that in May.
One thing Ari forgot to mention is that it's FREE to enter! So whether you play for real or not, get thee to and get in on this crazinesss! -- Jim C.
